Is this covered?
For a lot of our clients, the answer is yes, and they pay little or nothing out of pocket. There are three main ways to fund our work. If you are not sure which applies to you, that is exactly what the free call is for.
NDIS
For plan-managed and self-managed NDIS participants, our services can often be funded through your Core Supports (Assistance with Daily Life) or Capacity Building (Improved Daily Living) budgets, depending on your plan goals.
We work with:
- Plan-managed participants
- Self-managed participants
We are an unregistered NDIS provider. That means we cannot work with NDIA-managed (agency-managed) participants, but plan-managed and self-managed participants are no problem at all. Our invoices are NDIS-compliant and link each service to your plan goals, so they are simple for your plan manager to process.
Not sure if your plan covers this? Talk to your support coordinator or plan manager, or contact us and we will help you work it out.
Support at Home (aged care)
If you receive aged care support at home, funding from your Support at Home budget may be able to be used for technology support that helps you stay safe and independent. Support at Home replaced Home Care Packages from 1 November 2025, so if your paperwork still says Home Care Package, that is the same funding now moving across. Budgets are now allocated quarterly rather than annually.
A few things worth knowing about the new program:
- Support services and contributions. Under the new contribution rules, services that support your independence may attract a means-tested contribution. Clinical care is fully government-funded, but technology support and training generally sits in the non-clinical categories, so a contribution may apply depending on your income and assets. Your provider can tell you exactly what yours would be.
- The AT-HM pathway. Support at Home includes a separate Assistive Technology and Home Modifications budget, distinct from your quarterly services budget, for equipment and aids. If part of what you need is equipment rather than support, this pathway may cover it.
The simplest path is to ask your provider or care partner whether technology support and training can be included in your plan. We are happy to talk them through what we do.
Note: aged care funding rules are still settling under the new program. We will always confirm what is claimable with you and your provider before any work begins.
Private clients
No funding, no problem. Many of our clients simply pay privately, often an adult child arranging support for a parent. You get exactly the same service, the same written documentation, and the same patient approach. We will give you a clear quote up front so there are no surprises.
Pricing
We believe in being upfront about cost.
Most people start with an initial assessment visit, then setup and training as needed. If you would prefer a fixed bundle, our three packages (see Our Services) make the scope clear from the start: Getting Started for a single well-defined need, Independence for more involved needs, and Family Peace of Mind to cover the person and upskill the family, with an AI Companion add-on available on any package.
We provide a clear written quote before any work begins, whether you are funded or paying privately. Just ask, there is no obligation.
For NDIS and Support at Home clients, services are billed against your funding rather than paid out of pocket. Travel and any agreed non-face-to-face work (such as written reports) are itemised clearly and only ever charged in line with the relevant funding rules.
Common questions
Do I need a referral?
No. Anyone can contact us directly. Support coordinators and family members are welcome to make the first contact on someone's behalf.
Can you invoice my plan manager directly?
Yes. For plan-managed NDIS participants we invoice your plan manager directly, with each service linked to your plan goals. You do not handle the paperwork.
What if I am NDIA-managed (agency-managed)?
Unfortunately we cannot work with agency-managed participants, because we are an unregistered provider. If your plan comes up for review, switching to plan management opens up providers like us, and your plan manager or support coordinator can explain how.
Is there a minimum number of visits?
No. Plenty of clients book a single visit and that is the end of it. There is no contract, no subscription, and no pressure to book more.
Do you charge for travel?
Within our usual service area, travel is built into the visit. Anything outside that is agreed with you in writing first, and only charged in line with the relevant funding rules.
What if the problem comes back after you leave?
Every visit ends with written notes, and small follow-up questions by email are included. If it needs another visit, we will tell you honestly rather than padding it out.
